Windsor by Tavistock – A Coastal Living Cinematic Campaign
When IF Studio NY—an agency specializing in high-end real estate marketing—partnered with Tavistock to promote their latest development, Windsor, we were excited to help bring their vision to life through a cinematic lens.
Best known for their private golf communities like Isleworth and Lake Nona, Tavistock’s Windsor marked a shift: their first coastal living community. This expansive property would require us to visually capture not only the natural beauty of the beachside location but also the lifestyle and amenities that define it—golf, tennis, croquet, equestrian grounds, and a central village filled with galleries, a town hall, a performance center, clubhouses, cafés, and upscale retail spaces. All set against a backdrop of multi-million-dollar homes.
As someone who grew up in Charleston, SC, and now lives in Orlando, I personally connected with the coastal narrative. I wanted to make sure the visuals reflected the relaxed elegance and natural rhythm of life near the water.
Our production team was brought in to support casting, scheduling, and logistics—working in tandem with a simultaneous photo campaign. As is increasingly common, the project involved both stills and motion, with overlapping talent and locations.
The creative brief called for a series of short, visually rich videos that combined sweeping shots of the property with candid lifestyle moments—families walking on the beach, a family having lunch in the village, kids running through tree-lined paths. To capture this authentically, we approached the project with a “run-and-gun” documentary style, using only natural light. The client wanted something organic and cinematic, with a touch of handheld movement—elegant but not overly polished.
We shot on Zeiss Super Speeds for their soft, cinematic rendering and worked with a minimal crew to stay agile. I operated the camera with support from my 1st AC for critical focus pulling, using an EZ Rig for mobility and occasional tripod setups for landscapes and lock-offs. This setup allowed us to move quickly across multiple locations, staying efficient without sacrificing quality.
Our final day was dedicated entirely to capturing B-roll— different locations throughout the day, sunrises, sunsets, and the finer visual textures of the community during golden hour. These magic-hour shots brought a layer of warmth and emotion to the edits.
We collaborated with IF Studio during post-production, delivering eight 30-second lifestyle vignettes. Each film highlights the unique amenities and aspirational lifestyle Windsor offers, painting a picture of coastal elegance and everyday luxury.
